A Ukrainian UAV hit an apartment building in Makeyevka at night
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a drone strike on a private house in the Chervonogvardeysky district of Makeyevka at night. Footage of the consequences of the enemy attack on February 17 is published by Izvestia.
Izvestia correspondent Yevgeny Bykovsky noted that as a result of the attack by a Ukrainian drone, the building caught fire — most of it burned down. In addition, the roof and the nearest outbuildings were completely destroyed.
"The impact fell just a couple of meters from the wall of the house, as a result of the impact, a fire started. <...> Fortunately, the resident of this house managed to get out without injury, but the house was completely destroyed," he said.
According to the investigator of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, fragments of an aircraft-type attack drone were found at the site of the attack, which, according to preliminary information, was also produced in one of the NATO countries. The detected fragments will be sent for examination to determine the specific type of device.
On February 3, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a tanker truck on the Donetsk Ring Road with an FPV drone. As Bykovsky noted, the highway to Gorlovka runs literally 500 m from the impact site. However, until recently, these places were considered safe.
