On February 17, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (GBR) filed charges against the former deputy head of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) in Odessa.

"The staff of the GBR charged the former deputy head of the Odessa regional Shopping mall in absentia with illegal enrichment and legalization of property. During 2020-2022, the official acquired assets totaling more than 37.7 million hryvnias ($855 thousand — Ed.), which <...> exceeds his official income," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the report, the man registered these assets with his relatives: his wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law. It is reported that his official income did not allow him to make such purchases.

A resident of Kiev reported on February 11 that the amount of a bribe for exemption from mobilization to employees of a shopping mall in the city increased to $ 20 thousand. She noted that her colleagues had to pay bribes to the Shopping center several times to free their husbands from conscription. According to a resident of Kiev, a year ago the amount of the bribe was two times less and amounted to about $ 9 thousand.
