The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation has ordered online stores to accept returns of goods remotely

The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation (CC RF) has issued a ruling according to which stores are required to accept returns of goods in any way convenient for the buyer, including remotely. This is evidenced by the order published on February 17 on the website of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.

The decision was the result of consideration of the complaint of citizen Pyotr Tishkin. A man living in the village of Kandalaksha district of the Murmansk region, faced the problem of returning a baby's jumpsuit, which he ordered through an online store. After receiving the product, he decided to return it, but found that the return process was limited only by his physical presence in the store.
