The organizers of the Olympic Games in Italy announced a change in the schedule of competitions in Livigno due to heavy snowfall. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on February 17.

According to the publication, the women's slopestyle snowboarding final has been canceled and postponed to another day. The time of qualification in women's freestyle acrobatics has also been changed.

"Due to the snowfall, which limits visibility and affects speed on the ski jump, it was decided to postpone qualifying for the afternoon. The air temperature is -6 degrees, the workers are manually clearing the track," the organizers explained.

Olympic champion from China Xu Mengtao and silver medalist from Belarus Anna Guskova, acting as a neutral athlete, were scheduled to compete in the women's qualification. The postponement of the women's qualification led to a shift in the men's competitions.

German biathletes Janina Hettich-Waltz and Vanessa Vogt, as well as Czech representative Jessica Yislova, suffered food poisoning after dinner at the Olympic village on February 14. Hettich-Waltz was forced to withdraw from the sprint race at the last moment due to stomach problems. Vogt went to the start, but finished only 12th, despite shooting cleanly. Yislova also skipped the sprint.
