The teacher mentioned the advantages of introducing the "ministry" course in schools

Introduction of the course "Ministry Training. Firsts" will help students to consciously approach the choice of their profession. Elizaveta Oleinik, a teacher of additional education, philologist, and translator, told Izvestia about this on February 17.

According to her, the high-quality implementation of the course "Ministry Training. The first ones" will have a lasting effect in the form of increased civic responsibility, self-organization skills and project thinking, that is, what is in direct demand at the university and in the labor market.

"For graduates, this translates into a more informed choice of admission directions, a strong portfolio of real-world cases, and experience interacting with external customers. Additional motivation is the possibility of recording volunteer hours and their potential transformation into individual achievements upon admission," she noted.

As the expert emphasized, the practice of "service" will increase engagement, since teenagers have a clear answer to the question "why should I learn this?": knowledge is linked to the real task and the recipient of help. This, according to Oleinik, develops empathy, responsibility, communication, the ability to work in a team, plan and bring things to a result.

"Professionally, it works like a "pen test": a student can try on roles, such as analyst, organizer, designer, developer, and better understand their strengths. It is important that the project does not turn into a formality, because otherwise motivation may decrease," she added.

About the introduction of the course "Ministry Training. The first" compulsory school curriculum became known on the same day. It was noted that for the successful implementation of projects, students will be able to receive additional points for the Unified State Exam. The program will be integrated into the subject "Individual Project" for students in grades 10-11 starting in September.
