The European Union (EU) is lawless, and the sanctions imposed by the bloc are comparable to the Guantanamo prison. This was announced on February 17 by former Swiss intelligence officer Jacques Bo.

"Even in authoritarian countries, the rule of law can be maintained. Laws can be strict, difficult to enforce, and possibly unfair, but they are there. And the EU is simply lawless," Bo said in an interview with the YouTube channel Neutrality Studies.

According to him, extrajudicial sanctions are "actually the same thing that the United States does when it wants to eliminate someone."

"People are being held in Guantanamo Bay there because American laws do not apply to this territory. According to US law, you cannot receive information using torture, but if you are in a territory where American law does not apply, then you can be tortured. That's the purpose of Guantanamo. And the same thing is happening here [in the EU]," the ex-intelligence officer said.

He also stressed that the EU selectively takes information only to confirm the accusation, and does not verify all the data on the case.

"The EU is building a conspiracy theory. This means that they never refer to primary sources, original documents, but simply take what people say about the topic and base their arguments on this," Bo said.

On February 4, Sarah Wagenknecht, founder of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice (SSV) party, said that EU sanctions are fascism directed by the alliance against its own citizens. According to her, in the EU area "there are no more human rights and the right to judicial proceedings in accordance with the principles of the rule of law."
