In 2026, Moscow plans to complete a program of renovation of bus shelters for public transport. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on the MAX channel.

The replacement of outdated bus stops in the capital began in 2015, Sobyanin recalled. Three years later, Sokolnicheskiy Wagon Repair and Construction Plant (SVARZ), a key enterprise for the development of urban transport and its infrastructure as part of Mosgortrans, began producing them. Since then, more than 5,600 pavilions have been assembled, and this year SVARZ will prepare another 1,000 stops.

"The pavilions are assembled entirely from Russian components," stressed the mayor of Moscow. He noted that the localization of production in the capital made it possible to reduce infrastructure renovation costs by 25%.

The pavilions are made of aluminum and stainless steel and decorated in the same style of Moscow transport. Glass made of durable triplex does not break into fragments in case of damage. At the same time, the enlarged roof provides better protection from the weather. Lightboxes with route schedules and QR codes are installed in each modern bus stop pavilion, thanks to which you can find out the arrival time of transport.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
