Negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine in Geneva will begin within two hours. This was announced on February 17 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
On the same day, the plane of the Russian delegation headed by Russian Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky arrived in Geneva for negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement.
Izvestia correspondent Igor Baldin said the day before that the delegations would hold talks at the InterContinental Geneva hotels. According to him, security measures in the hotel area have been strengthened. Journalists are not allowed near the building: metal fences are installed a few meters from the entrance, which are guarded by police officers.
