More than 1,500 people will take part in the "Winter Heroes Race"

On February 21, the 10th anniversary "Winter Heroes Race" will be held at the Alabino training ground. More than 1,500 daredevils will challenge the cold and their own abilities, overcoming difficult challenges on the 8 km long track.

The Winter Heroes Race is a one—of-a-kind steeplechase race adapted to snow conditions. Participants will face 27 challenges that test strength, agility and endurance. Here everyone will find an obstacle to their liking.: from complex handgrips to vertical fences of varying degrees of complexity, as well as carrying loads and sports equipment. At the end, climb the legendary eight—meter slide, where you will need to show all your determination and will to win. However, this time the team of the League of Heroes decided to bet not only on sports excitement, but also on the atmosphere of the national holiday Maslenitsa! That's why all the obstacles have been renamed. For example, "Everest" was replaced by the comic "If you don't climb, you'll roll!".

Anyone over the age of 18 can take part in the Race in one of the available formats: individually in a mass start and in a team race accompanied by a professional instructor.

The warm—up for the participants before the mass start will be conducted by the famous athlete and TV presenter Vyacheslav Vasilevsky, a six-time world champion and two-time European champion in combat sambo, former M-1 Global light heavyweight and middleweight champion.

The start in the Championship format will be held separately. This is a professional refereeing competition for experienced athletes in the PRO (among professionals) and AGE categories (in four age groups: 18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40+ years old). About 150 athletes will take part in the Championship.

While the athletes will storm the winter track, the Winter Heroes Race fan zone will welcome the guests with large-scale Carnival festivities: a battle on the platform, hammering nails for speed, throwing felt boots and tug of war. Themed quizzes will be held on the stage. Hot tea and golden pancakes will help you regain your strength after the race. According to all the canons of the holiday, an effigy of Maslenitsa will be burned at the landfill, symbolizing farewell to the cold weather and the imminent arrival of spring.
