The court rejected Bitmama's appeal against the measure of restraint in the fraud case.

The Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of the crypto blogger Valeria Fedyakina (pseudonym — Bitmama) for a measure of restraint in the case of major fraud, despite the birth of a child in a pre-trial detention center (SIZO). This was reported on February 17 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

In June 2025, after the verdict of seven years in prison was announced, Bitmama's defense filed a complaint against the court's decision. Her trial has not yet begun, so the girl continues to be in jail.

The lawyer recalled that in December 2023, Fedyakina gave birth to a child in the hospital of the Pechatniki isolation ward. Her young daughter is still in custody with her.

"She (Fedyakina. — Ed.) has been in custody for a very long time, since September 2023. He is being held in pre-trial detention along with a newborn girl who is more than two years old. Therefore, we have a motion to change the preventive measure to house arrest of Fedyakina until the appeal against the verdict is resolved," the lawyer explained.

The defender was also ready to provide Fedyakina with her home during her house arrest and ensure that she could work in compliance with all restrictions. The court rejected the arguments of the defense and left the blogger in jail.

In June last year, a court sentenced blogger Bitmama to seven years in a penal colony for large-scale fraud in the field of cryptocurrencies. It is specified that the girl was found guilty of embezzling more than 2.2 billion rubles from clients, the court decided to recover this amount in favor of the victims.

The investigation revealed that Fedyakina had organized a pyramid scheme, earning millions of dollars from it. The blogger was withdrawing funds abroad, bypassing currency controls. The blogger herself has lived in two countries in recent years — in Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Fedyakina was arrested in September 2023. The application for Bitmama was written by one of her investors, who handed her 6.7 billion rubles in cash. He is recognized as a victim.
