The head of AVTOVAZ estimated the decline in Lada sales in February

AvtoVAZ has adjusted the Lada car sales plan for February of this year. It is expected that the volume of sales will decrease by 15%, Maxim Sokolov, the head of the car company, said on February 17.

"We have already adjusted our plans for February, and we have adjusted them significantly — by 15%, but today we are not even reaching this adjustment trajectory in terms of sales rates," Sokolov told TASS.

At the same time, as the head of AvtoVAZ noted, there is hope that Lada sales in the last winter month will exceed 20 thousand units.

Sokolov pointed to the pessimistic dynamics of the market at the beginning of the year and a serious drawdown in car loans. The decision taken by the Bank of Russia to reduce the key rate to 15.5% has not yet revived the market, he added.
