A plant in Kaluga can assemble cars of the new Jeland brand.

Kaluga-based AGR Holding plant (formerly Volkswagen) has received Vehicle Type Approval for two crossovers under the new domestic brand Jeland — C5 and C7. This was reported on February 17 by the Prime agency.

The certification documents indicate that the C5 and C7 models can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The first crossover will receive a 1.5-liter engine (147 hp), the range of the second will include 1.6-liter units of different boost (150 and 186 hp). Both models are five-seater.

AGR Holding in Kaluga is currently producing Tenet crossovers. It became known on February 3 that production of the new Jeland brand cars, designed specifically for the Russian Federation, will begin in Russia in the first half of 2026.

Later, AGR Holding announced that a new domestic automobile brand, Tenet Plus, would appear in Russia. The car brand was developed jointly with the Chinese company Defetoo, for them this project will be the third after Tenet and Jeland.

On February 16, sales of the new compact crossover Changan CS35 Max started in Russia. The price varies from 2.6 million to 2.79 million rubles, depending on the configuration, the model is presented in three levels of equipment.
