KCNA announced the opening of 50,000 new apartments in Pyongyang
In the capital of the DPRK, the construction of residential buildings for 50 thousand apartments has been fully completed, which became the result of a five-year development program in Pyongyang. This was reported on February 17 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
On the day of construction completion, a solemn ceremony was held in the Hwasong area, attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He stressed that providing citizens with modern housing remains a priority of state policy.
"It is absolutely necessary to fulfill the desire of the people, a cause for the people — these are the beliefs of our party," said the leader of the DPRK.
The KCNA news agency reported on February 16 that the construction of Sabel Street ("New Star"), built for the families of the fallen soldiers, was completed in Pyongyang. The project was implemented by Kim Jong-un's personal order and was under his constant supervision. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the party, the government, the Armed Forces, as well as future residents of the new street.
