US envoys flew to Geneva for talks
Special Envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner flew to Geneva to participate in negotiations with Russia and Ukraine, as well as to establish contacts with the Iranian side. "White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner flew to Geneva to participate in nuclear talks with Iran and Russian-Ukrainian peace talks," he wrote.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported on February 13 that the next round of talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine would be held on February 17-18 in Geneva. According to him, the Russian delegation will be headed by Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, and the meeting will take place behind closed doors.
Also on February 16, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should be more accommodating in negotiations, stressing the importance of the upcoming trilateral meeting.
