French national hockey team defender Pierre Crinon has been suspended from the team's matches until the end of the Olympics in Italy for fighting with Canadian striker Tom Wilson. This was announced on February 16 by the press service of the French Ice Hockey Federation (FFHG) on its website.

"After the match, FFHG President and deputy head of the French delegation Pierre-Yves Gerbault had a conversation with the player in the presence of the head of the delegation Fabien Sagues, the purpose of this conversation was to remind the hockey player of the personal commitments he had made as part of the selection for the French Olympic team," the publication says.
