Japanese duo Miura and Kihara won gold at the OI-2026 in pair skating
On February 17, Japanese figure skaters Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara won the gold medal of the Olympic Games 2026 (OI-2026) in pair skating. The Japanese duo scored a total of 231.24 points.
The Olympic champions scored 158.13 points for the free skate, breaking the world record of 157.66 points previously set by Russian duo Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov, Sport-Express reported.
With a difference of almost 10 points, the Georgian duo Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava took silver with 221.75 points. The bronze medal was won by representatives of Germany — Minerva Haze and Nikita Volodin, who received 219.09 points for their rentals.
