Representatives of European countries tried to probe the ground in order to join the negotiations in Geneva. This became known on February 17.

"There have indeed been such probing attempts, but Europe will not be at the negotiating table," the source told TASS.

The next round of negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine will be held behind closed doors on February 17-18, and media representatives will not be allowed in.

Earlier it was reported that a Russian delegation headed by Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky allegedly flew to Geneva on February 16 to participate in negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the country is ready to consider all "realistic" proposals from the United States to end the conflict. According to him, the Ukrainian delegation has already arrived in Geneva to participate in the continuation of the trilateral negotiations. Meetings will be held with the participation of the country's partners to coordinate possible steps to resolve the situation.
