In the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug), a director and an engineer were detained in the city of Lyantor after the death of a teenager. This was reported on February 16 in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

Investigators have filed charges against the director and chief engineer of the municipal institution "Center of Physical Culture and Sports "Yunost" in the city of Lantor. Their actions are qualified under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence that negligently caused the death of a person").

According to investigators, the tragedy was caused by the lack of control over the condition of the roof of the hockey court, as it turned out, it was not checked properly, and measures were not taken to remove snow masses in a timely manner. In addition, it turned out that the dangerous snow storage area near the walls of the building remained open and was not controlled.

"As a result of the failure of these persons to fulfill their official duties, on February 14, critical snow masses formed on the roof of the facility, which fell on a group of minors, one of whom died, two were injured," the committee clarified.

The Investigative Committee notes that the accused have been detained at the moment. In the near future, the court will determine a measure of restraint for them during the investigation.

The day before, three children were hospitalized after snow fell from the roof of a hockey court in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug). According to Sergey Glinanygo, a doctor at the clinical trauma Hospital, another patient is being monitored on an outpatient basis. The condition of all the victims is assessed as satisfactory, and they are receiving the necessary medical care in full.
