Details of a fire at an oil depot in Dagestan have become known

The situation at the oil depot in the village of Novy Khushet in the Republic of Dagestan remains critical. This was announced on February 16 by a source of Izvestia.

Specialists have not yet been able to stop the leakage of liquefied gas from the damaged tank, there are about 50 more similar gas tanks on the site in the immediate vicinity of the emergency tank.

Due to the high risk of detonation and the spread of fire to neighboring tanks, the authorities are considering a large-scale evacuation of residents. The settlement area may be several km.

Private crash: helicopter crash in Dagestan

There were seven people on board at the time of the crash, and a criminal case has been opened.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region confirmed the death of one person as a result of a fire on the territory of the base. The identity of the deceased man is currently being established. 63 personnel and 19 pieces of special equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the accident and cooling the tanks.
