Amphibious aircraft to summon rains will be launched again in Stavropol

In the Stavropol Territory, the Roshydromet laboratory aircraft will be used again to artificially cause precipitation. Work will begin in March-April, according to the press service of the head of the region, Vladimir Vladimirovich.

Now there is a sufficient supply of moisture in the soil. The condition of 98% of winter crops is assessed as good and satisfactory, however, during the period of active growth, seedlings will require additional support.

The technology of artificial precipitation has already proved its effectiveness. Thanks to the amphibious aircraft, a record grain harvest was harvested in Stavropol in 2025.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, 4.9 billion rubles are also provided for the support of farmers in 2026. The governor instructed to speed up the transfer of funds to agricultural producers so that work could begin at the optimal time.

Earlier it was reported that they want to reduce the minimum distance from populated areas to the flight area of agricultural drones by three times — from 2 km to 700 m. The initiative is aimed at extending the work of drones to most lands — current restrictions block the development of this area.
