The Russian delegation is heading to Geneva with clear instructions to act within the framework of the agreements reached in Anchorage. This was announced on February 16 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

"I can say that our delegation is going there tonight with the clearest possible instructions to act within the framework agreed upon by the presidents [of the Russian Federation and the United States] during their meeting in Anchorage. Success cannot be achieved without this," TASS quoted Ryabkov as saying.

He noted that the Russian Federation's position on the Peace Council remains open, while Moscow "continues to analyze the entire set of tools of this structure." Ryabkov stressed that the Russian side proceeds from the need for a pragmatic approach and consideration of current international realities.

"The delegation has clear guidelines formed based on the results of high—level contacts," he said.

At the same time, Moscow, according to the diplomat, continues to look for a "common denominator" in relations with the United States, although this process remains difficult. Ryabkov added that dialogue is necessary to reduce tensions and work out mutually acceptable solutions.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at government hour before State Duma deputies on February 11, pointed out the immutability of the provisions of the Alaska summit on Ukraine. He added that Moscow continues to contribute to achieving all the objectives of the special military operation by using political and diplomatic methods.
