Trans-Baikal farmers have increased their output thanks to government support

Agricultural cooperatives and farms in Transbaikalia increased production in 2025 thanks to government support. The total volume of their products in financial terms exceeded 1 billion rubles, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports.

So, last year, farmers produced goods worth 675 million rubles, and at the expense of subsidies — by 344 million rubles. In monetary terms, this is 18% and 10% more than in 2024, respectively.

In 2026, 227 million rubles will be allocated from the budget for grant support of small agribusiness in the region. writes the ChitaMedia news agency. Farms and rural cooperatives will receive 102 million rubles in subsidies.

Financial support allows small businesses to purchase land, animals, machinery and equipment, as well as build and renovate production facilities.

Earlier it was reported that about 2.4 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of agriculture in Transbaikalia in 2026. Of these, 500 million rubles are federal money.
