The expert predicted the spread of "garage" car services in Russia

Amendments to the tax legislation have become a serious test for businesses such as private specialized car repair shops. Their number will certainly not grow, unlike private garage craftsmen who work in cash or by wire transfer. This opinion was expressed on February 16 by Alexander Petrov, Director of the Partner Relations Department at Uremont.

"It is extremely difficult to keep records of their activities, and the client, contacting them, must realize that in pursuit of the best price, he takes all the risks of quality and guarantees upon himself," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes him as saying.

At the same time, as the expert noted, the passenger car service market will continue to show growth, as many car owners are starting to invest in long–term car operation through regular maintenance instead of changing cars every three to five years.

The specialist noted that at the beginning of 2026, prices for each service point in car service stations increased by 500-1000 rubles. The further dynamics of price growth will depend solely on the cost of spare parts: consumables and parts for European brands of cars are most susceptible to rising prices.

Earlier, on February 10, insurers reported that spare parts for Mercedes-Benz, Kia and BMW cars had sharply increased in price in Russia.
