Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, announced on February 16 that she was undergoing radiation and chemotherapy during cancer treatment.

"I had a hurricane current against the background of my worries, as the doctors say. Therefore, surgery, chemistry, radiation, and hormones are still for years," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
