- SOE demanded to seize the property of the head of Rospotrebnadzor in the Chelyabinsk region
The Prosecutor General's Office (GP) has filed a lawsuit with the Kurchatov District Court of Chelyabinsk to transfer the property of Anatoly Semenov, head of the Rospotrebnadzor Department for the Chelyabinsk Region, in the amount of more than 400 million rubles, to the state revenue. This was announced on February 16 on the agency's website.
"It has been established that the official illegally combined the passage of public service with highly profitable entrepreneurial activity, which he organized in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare. In order to conceal his involvement in the business, Semenov attracted his sons, mother—in-law and trusted persons," the report says.
It is reported that Semenov used his corrupt income to purchase six apartments, three residential buildings, 18 land plots, 12 non-residential buildings with a total area of 25 thousand square meters in Moscow, the Moscow and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as 17 cars. To avoid declaring, the official registered the property with third parties.
In Tatarstan, on February 13, an employee of a subsidiary of the Alabuga special economic zone (SEZ) was detained for a bribe of 3 million rubles. It is noted that the chief specialist of Drake LLC, Marat Rakhmatullin, received more than 3 million rubles from one of the company's suppliers. A criminal case has been opened against him under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe").
