Russian President Vladimir Putin is in constant contact with the Russian negotiating group ahead of the meeting in Geneva on Ukraine. This was stated on February 16 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, answering a question from Izvestia.

"Of course, the president is in constant contact with our negotiators," he said during a briefing.

Peskov added that Russian delegates receive detailed instructions from Putin before departure.
