GIE reported a decrease in Austria's gas reserves below 40%
Austria's gas reserves in underground storage facilities (UGS) have dropped below 40%. This became known from the data of Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) as of February 14.
Thus, the country's storage facilities were filled by 39.8%. At the same time, they are emptied by 0.35% per day.
In other European countries, gas reserves also continue to decline. So, in Germany they are filled by 23.95%, in France — by 24.5%, and in the Netherlands — by 16%.
The representative of the European Commission (EC), Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, said on February 13 that the gas reserve in the storage facilities of the European Union (EU) countries in mid-February was just over 35%. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced on February 2 that Hungary had filed a lawsuit in the European Court of Justice against the EU ban on the import of Russian energy resources.
