The state prosecution demands that all perpetrators of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow be found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. A participant in the trial informed Izvestia about this on February 16.

Earlier in the day, Lyudmila Aivar, the victims' lawyer, said that the defense would also demand life imprisonment for the 19 defendants in the terrorist attack case. According to her, responsibility for all those involved "must be inevitable," and punishment —proportionate" to the grief caused.

Terrorists in camouflage broke into the Crocus Concert Hall on the evening of March 22, 2024. The gunmen opened fire and set the room on fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 149 people were killed and over 600 were injured in various degrees of severity. At the same time, one person is missing.

The court began considering the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall on the merits in August 2025. During the meeting, the defendants admitted their guilt. The participants in the trial noted that the verdict of the accused could be announced before the end of the year. Meanwhile, the victims' defense appealed to the court with a request related to the appointment of repeated and additional forensic medical examinations.

On December 10, 2025, the Second Western District Military Court announced that the prosecution had completed the presentation of evidence in the criminal case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert Hall.

On December 25, 2025, Lyudmila Aivar, the victims' lawyer, said that the Second Western District Military Court extended the arrest of all those accused in the case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow until April 7, 2026.
