Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, criticized Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen's statement on attacks on Russia on February 15.

Earlier, Frederiksen said at the Munich Security Conference on February 14 that Ukraine needed to "untie its hands" and provide the necessary weapons to attack Russia. She also added that the conflict in Ukraine could be prevented only by granting Kiev membership in NATO.

"The Danish Prime Minister wants NATO to abandon red lines and demand deep strikes against Russia. We are talking about NATO missiles guided by NATO contractors that attack targets selected by NATO intelligence. These "madcaps" will provoke a new world war," Dizen wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

On February 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia would demand a specific response from the West on who and for what "security guarantees" were being given in Ukraine. He stressed that all the security guarantees previously discussed in Istanbul with Ukraine have now expired.

On January 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hope for the restoration of relations with European countries based on mutual respect for national interests. The Head of State noted that Russia is ready for open mutually beneficial cooperation, and there have been many examples of good cooperation in history.
