- The lawyer recalled the right of Russians to receive assistance in private clinics under the compulsory medical insurance policy.
Medical care in a private clinic can be obtained not only for cash, but also under a compulsory health insurance policy. Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, told the Prime news agency on February 16.
"According to the law, all medical organizations, including private ones, participating in the implementation of the program of state guarantees of free medical care, are required to accept a compulsory medical insurance policy," Khaminsky explained.
According to him, this right is valid throughout the Russian Federation, regardless of the place of issue of the policy. Thus, if a private clinic is included in the register of medical institutions operating in the compulsory medical insurance system, it receives a fee for each policy service from the compulsory medical insurance fund. You can check whether a particular clinic is operating under the policy on the website of the territorial fund or on the information stand at the clinic itself, the expert concluded.
On January 9, the chief physician of the Health Strategy clinic network, internist Dmitry Demidik, announced that starting in 2026, Russians will undergo medical examinations according to the new rules, including screenings for viral hepatitis and HPV. According to him, medical examinations are currently aimed at the reproductive function of the body.
