A resident of Krasnoyarsk will stand trial for a series of thefts worth 1.8 million rubles.

A resident of Krasnoyarsk will appear in court on charges of a series of thefts from the entrances of apartment buildings, the total damage of which is estimated at about 1.8 million rubles. This was announced on February 16 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

As police officers established during the investigation, a previously convicted man born in 1992 committed thefts in different areas of the city between May and September 2025.

"The accused is involved in 26 episodes of theft: he stole 10 bicycles, three electric scooters and a total of 1 km 700 m of cable," the department said in a Telegram channel message.

In addition, the investigation found out that the man was involved in the theft of property from a pawnshop worth 56 thousand rubles and power tools from a construction site worth 67 thousand rubles. Some of the stolen items were found and returned to their owners. The suspect was detained by employees of the city criminal investigation department.

The investigator of the police department No. 6 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Krasnoyarsk" opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft"). The investigation is completed. The accused was taken into custody.

On February 4, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 56-year-old businessman who tried to commit fraud in the amount of 300 million rubles. It was clarified that in the capital of the Yakutsk region in 2018-2019, the accused concluded several lease agreements for administrative buildings with the director of one of the commercial organizations. The premises were supposed to be sublet later.
