A fire in Norilsk killed one person and injured 10 others. This was announced on February 16 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
"On the evening of February 15, an apartment in a nine-story building on Metallurg Avenue caught fire. At the time of the arrival of the fire and rescue units, a strong flame was observed in the window of the second floor. <...> A man died as a result of the fire," the message on the MAX messenger says.
During the rescue operation, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 64 people up flights of stairs using special equipment. Two more people were rescued with the help of a car ladder. 10 victims poisoned by gorenje products were taken to medical institutions.
Elimination of fire on an area of 25 sq. m. The rescue was carried out by 33 rescuers and 10 pieces of equipment. According to the preliminary version, the fire started due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
On February 15, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Samara Region reported that an oil well fire had occurred in the region, injuring four people. It was clarified that the victims were hospitalized. One person is in serious condition, two are in average condition.
