Military personnel of the 218th Tank Regiment of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces shared the details of the liberation of the Tsvetkovo settlement in the Zaporizhia region. The relevant footage is published by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 16.

During the fierce fighting, the Primorye warriors expanded their control zone, taking command of another defense area with an area of more than 8 square kilometers.

"We came in quietly, quietly, very quietly in general. From one entrance. There was a second group that was covering, but they weren't involved. A grenade was suppressed, stunned, and a shooting battle immediately ensued. That is, everything happened instantly," the commander of the assault group with the call sign Veles told about the moment when the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation entered the settlement.

The enemy suffered significant losses in personnel and military equipment. In addition, during the operation to liberate the settlement by Primorye soldiers, two control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were eliminated The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"The team reported that a car carrying enemy ammunition had left. I flew out to the target, the car drove up, I flew up, dropped an anti-tank mine, that's it, there's no pickup truck, I burned it. We fly up unexpectedly like this and work. Intelligence observed the UAV take—off points, there, the FPV. <...> There was also a "support", the team reported that the support point was from five to 10 people — flew up, dismantled," the UAV operator with the call sign Bald shared details of the process of escorting attack aircraft.

After the beginning of the assault operations by the units of the Vostok group, the enemy attempted resistance, transferring additional forces to the settlement.

"The equipment went after our roll. Three armored vehicles. They were dismantled at the entrance, right at the entrance to the settlement. The UAVs helped, burned. And the artillery was also working," concluded the stormtrooper with the call sign Kai.

Despite the fierce resistance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the attack aircraft of the Vostok group of forces created a springboard for further liberation of the territory in the Zaporizhia region.

On February 15, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, said that the Russian military had liberated 12 settlements in two weeks of February, despite difficult winter conditions. He also noted that more than 200 square kilometers of territory had passed under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. It was clarified that the fighters of the Vostok group of forces took control of the settlements of Staroukrainka, Pridorozhnoye, Zaliznichnoye and Tsvetkovo.
