Szijjarto said that Ukraine is blocking oil supplies from Russia to Hungary.
Oil does not flow through the Druzhba pipeline due to Kiev's blocking of supplies. This was announced on February 15 by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto.
"Damage to the infrastructure around the pipeline is not an obstacle to its operation. Technically, he is ready to resume deliveries. Thus, there is only a political reason for obstacles in his work," the Hungarian Foreign Minister said on the Kossuth radio station.
Szijjarto announced on February 13 that Ukraine had blocked oil supplies from Russia via the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary in order to complicate the situation of the Hungarian government before the parliamentary elections. At the same time, the Druzhba pipeline, according to Szijjarto, is technically fully operational and ready to resume supplies.
At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had no information about a possible suspension of oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline.
