Alaudinov announced the withdrawal of the remnants of the "death regiment" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Sumy region

The remnants of the unit of the 225th separate assault regiment, which was nicknamed the "regiment of death", of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were withdrawn from the Sumy region due to heavy losses. This was announced on February 16 by the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Deputy head of the main military-political directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov.

"The battalion of the 225th regiment, which was isolated (in Sumy region. — Ed.), suffered such losses, which forced the remnants of this battalion to withdraw, that is, according to interceptions, they suffered very serious losses," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
