The United States national ice hockey team defeated the German team in the final match of the group stage of the Olympic tournament in Italy. The match took place on February 15 and ended with a score of 5:1.

Zach Werenski (20th minute), Auston Matthews (24th, 47th), Brock Faber (38th) and Teige Thompson (42nd) scored goals for the winners. Tim Stutzle scored for the German national team (52nd).

The Americans won for the third time in a row and scored nine points, taking first place in the group. The Germans, Danes and Latvians finished the group stage with three points.
