Figure skater Petrosyan skipped the first training session at the Olympics in Italy

On February 15, Russian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan missed her first training session after arriving at the Olympic Games in Italy in 2026.

According to RIA Novosti, this decision was made by the athlete's team due to a long night flight.

The individual women's tournament of the 2026 Olympic Games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, February 17 and 19. Petrosyan has two more training sessions scheduled before the start of the short program.

The biggest hopes are for Adelia Petrosyan, Savely Korostelev and Nikita Filippov.

On February 14, Petrosyan traveled to Italy for the Olympic Games. In the evening of that day, Petrosyan, along with coach Daniil Gleikhengauz, checked into a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul, where they will change planes to Milan.

Gleichengauz announced on February 14 that he had received Olympic accreditation and went to the Olympic Games as a coach. It was clarified that he posted a photo from the airport, where he was holding a ticket and a document certifying his coaching rights.
