FIS punished the Norwegian national team for violating the rules of ski testing at the Olympics

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has suspended one of the Norwegian ski team's service personnel for a violation. This was reported on February 15 by the newspaper Nettavisen, citing a representative of the FIS.

"The jury was informed that a technician from the NOR team was skiing inside the stadium after the track was closed. <...> The jury decided to punish the NOR team by depriving the team of one service bib before the end of the team sprint in free style," said the representative.

It is specified that the absence of one serviceman will not affect the result of Sunday's competitions.

On February 15, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) rejected the appeal of the Finnish national team against the results of the men's classic sprint at the Olympics due to violations of the deadlines. Before that, Finnish athletes pointed out the actions of the Norwegian and US national teams in the area between the races at the finals. It was noted that American and Norwegian skiers allegedly used means and liquids prohibited by FIS rules at competitions.
