Composer Alexey Rybnikov announced on February 15 that he had won a case on the illegal use of the song "Boo-ra-ti-no", but had not yet received the funds awarded by the court as compensation.

According to him, during the New Year holidays in 2023 and 2024, festive events for children were held at the Meridian shopping mall — the composer's music with "monstrous distortions" was played there.

"For this non-contractual use of the musical with 20 musical numbers, the organizers received significant sums from the audience without paying the authors a penny. <...> The court looked into this and made a decision in accordance with the law. But I did not receive any 3 million [rubles]," Rybnikov said in an interview with TASS.
