- Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told about the work of artillery in the Kharkov direction
Military personnel of the 29th Artillery Regiment of the 11th Army Corps of the North group of Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are actively using a self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) on a tracked Hyacinth-S model and unmanned aerial systems (UAVs) complexes when expanding the buffer zone in the Kharkov direction. In an interview with Izvestia, they talked about combat work in the area of a special military operation.
"Everything is ready to work: the weapon is loaded, the target has arrived, and now the fighters will hit the actual point that the intelligence service reported," said Alexey Poltoranin, a correspondent for Izvestia.
The commander of the Hyacinth-S self-propelled gun with the call sign Mukhomor clarified that he had to work on different targets: infantry, fortified areas and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to him, before the offensive of their assault groups, Russian military personnel conduct reconnaissance, and then provide information about the targets that need to be suppressed.
The commander of the BpS reconnaissance units with the call sign Strela said that his unit carries out a fairly wide range of work. He and his colleagues use in their activities such complexes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as "Orlan-10", "Z-16" (ZALA 421-16) and "Supercam S350".
"It is regularly possible to identify such enemy forces and assets as self-propelled artillery installations, tanks, and radar stations. We hit them with Lancet barrage ammunition, <...> hit - 100 out of 100," Strela said.
A BPS operator with the call sign Yaryi demonstrated one of the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in real time. There was a rotation going on there at that moment. He clarified that the artillery's work will be adjusted for the identified object.
"Our complex is called "Z-16" <...> it contains a program to evade enemy anti-aircraft drones, the so-called "eye". She (the program. — Ed.) has a very high speed, can get away from them (drones. — Ed.)," the fighter said.
Yaryi added that the gun he controlled could advance in the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at a distance of about 100 km. He stressed that the complex allows Russian military personnel to conduct reconnaissance and detect militant firepower.
A day earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army area by UAV crews of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces. It was noted that the movement of the target was detected by Russian reconnaissance drone operators, who transmitted the coordinates of the objects to the drone controllers. The ministry clarified that the UAV strike crews continue to successfully support Russian assault units, destroying enemy equipment, fortifications and manpower, contributing to the successful advance of troops.
