In Ivanteevka, a woman was injured when an ice block fell from the roof of a building.

A 40-year-old woman was injured when a block of ice fell from the roof of one of the buildings located in Ivanteevka, Moscow region. This was reported on February 15 in the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region.

"A block of ice fell from the roof of a building in the city of Ivanteevka onto a 40-year-old woman. She was hospitalized with her injuries," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened in accordance with Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage or transportation for the purpose of sale or sale of goods and products, performance of works or provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life or health of consumers").

The GSU of the Investigative Committee for the region clarified that interrogations are currently being conducted, and the persons responsible for removing snow from the roof of the building are being identified.

A source from Izvestia reported on February 13 that the girl lost a tooth after being hit by an avalanche of snow that fell from the roof of a private house located in the village of Glazovo in the Dmitrov municipal District near Moscow. It was noted that in addition to this injury, the victim was diagnosed with a bruised arm and an abrasion on her head. Another minor, who also fell under the rubble, had a split eyebrow.

The next day, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations called for the immediate cleaning of the roofs of buildings from snow. According to the agency, since the beginning of this year, two people have died from falling snow from roofs, and 13 more have been injured.
