In Germany, bank cells in the vault of the Volksbank branch in the city of Stuhr in the federal state of Lower Saxony were robbed again and went unnoticed. This was reported on February 14 by the newspaper Der Spiegel.
"In the basement of a bank branch in Sturm, near Bremen, several safe deposit boxes were hacked again," the publication says.
It is specified that during the lunch break, the robbers entered the vault through a hole in the ceiling for a light well. By breaking down the doors, they gained access to the cells.
According to law enforcement agencies, the total number of hacked cells is still unclear, and the damage has not been determined.
The Bild newspaper reported on December 30, 2025, that unknown persons robbed the Sparkasse bank vault in the city of Gelsenkirchen in western Germany, stealing money and valuables from individual safes. The intruders took everything they could lay their hands on from the safes and fled.
On January 2, a bank vault was robbed in the German city of Halle in North Rhine-Westphalia. According to law enforcement officials, four cells were hacked. The contents and possible amount of cash were not disclosed.
