Austrian skeleton racer Janine Flock became the winner of the Olympic Games in 2026. The competition was held on February 14 in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Flock took the first place after four attempts, showing the best result of 3 minutes 49.02 seconds. German Suzanne Kreher is in second place with a score of 3.49,32, and her compatriot Jacqueline Pfeiffer is in third (3.49,46).

Skeleton athlete Flock won the World Championships three times and took first place in the overall World Cup standings three times (seasons 2014/15, 2020/21, 2024/25) at the age of 36.

On February 14, Finland filed a protest against the results of the men's individual sprint classic at the 2026 Olympics, where Norwegian skier and six-time Olympic champion Johannes Klebo became the winner. The Finnish Ski Association (NOC) and the Finnish Olympic Committee have sent a protest to the jury of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). It was noted that the Norwegian national team was allowed to carry lubricating oil into the service area, which contradicts the official instructions for all teams, since such an opportunity was not provided to other national teams.
