At the talks in Geneva, the Ukrainian side plans to offer Russia an energy truce. This was announced on February 14 by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

"We will raise this issue. But we can't talk about it publicly," the Ukrainian newspaper quoted him as saying.Страна.иа ".

Earlier it was reported that the most difficult situation with energy supply remains in Kiev and five regions of Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that negotiations on the Ukrainian crisis will be held on February 17-18 in Geneva. The Russian delegation will be headed by Vladimir Medinsky, Assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Peskov noted that Geneva was chosen for the negotiations because it was considered an appropriate and convenient location for all three countries.

On February 14, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the list of controversial issues on Ukraine was narrowing. The remaining topics for discussion, as he stressed, remain complex and require further work.
