Ronaldo returned to the starting line-up of FC Al-Nasr after the boycott
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the starting line-up of Al-Nasr Football Club (FC) after boycotting several games. This was announced on February 14 by the club's press service.
On the official page of Al-Nasr on the social network X (ex. Twitter) a few dozen minutes before the start of the guest match of the 22nd round of the Saudi Arabian championship with FC Al-Fateh, a photo of a T-shirt with Ronaldo's number appeared.
"Ronaldo is leading Al-Nasr's return to the game today," the football club wrote on its official fan page.
Ronaldo's intention to boycott the team's match against Riyadh became known on February 2. It was noted that the athlete was unhappy with the reduction of investments in the club. The protest was directed against the actions of the State Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF). The Speedline portal reported on February 6 that the strike organized by the Portuguese striker resulted in losses of $2.4 billion to the Saudi professional league.
