Recent incidents in Russian educational institutions involving teenagers may be related to their fascination with video games. This was announced on February 14 by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, referring to experts.

He noted that the attackers use gaming platforms and related applications to involve minors in chat rooms and communities where destructive and prohibited materials are published. They recruit children to commit various crimes, give instructions and promise to allocate money to buy weapons.
