The father of three children who died in a fire in Vladivostok has been charged with negligent homicide. This was reported on February 13 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Primorsky Territory.

"The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Primorsky Territory are investigating a criminal case into the death of three children in Vladivostok during a fire. Their father has been charged with committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons")," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the head of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region, Eduard Trubchik, must provide a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime.

A fire in an apartment building in Vladivostok became known on February 12. It was clarified that children of three, six and nine years old died as a result of the incident. There were no adults in the apartment at the time of the fire.

On February 13, the main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Primorsky Territory reported that a lot of parked cars prevented firefighters from driving to the site of a fire that occurred in a multi-storey building No. 30 on Tolstoy Street in Vladivostok, as a result of which three children died. It was clarified that six people, including two children, were evacuated from neighboring apartments.
