North Korean President Kim Jong-un has inspected the construction of a Memorial Museum of Military Exploits, which will be dedicated to the Korean servicemen who participated in the liberation of the Kursk region. This was reported on February 14 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"Appreciating that the sculptural decorations of the exterior walls were well executed to preserve the thematic features, he (Kim Jong-un. — Kim Jong-un) noted that the incomparable bravery and mass heroism of the soldiers of the Korean People's Army who participated in foreign military operations should be impressively inscribed in history," the publication says.
Kim Jong-un also noted that the Memorial Museum will become not only an architectural object, but also an important symbol of respect for fallen soldiers.
The Korean Central News Agency reported on February 9 that Kim Jong-un visited the Ministry of Defense of the DPRK on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People's Army. During the visit, he congratulated the officers and soldiers of the entire army and held celebrations with the participation of the commanding staff. It was also reported that the head of state paid special attention to military personnel performing tasks outside the country.
