A resident of Serdobsk told about the problems in obtaining housing certificates

The administration of Serdobsk in the Penza region is inactive in the implementation of the housing certificate program and ignores the complaints of local residents. Galina Chumak, a resident of the city, told Izvestia about this on February 13.

"In 2008, my husband and I signed our names and had a baby in one year. <...> We fell under the program of the state housing certificate. The city administration gave us 60 thousand rubles <...> But now it has become clear <...> this year, 370 thousand rubles were approved for families with a maternal housing certificate to improve their living conditions. At that time, it was a studio apartment," Chumak said.

She noted that when she started asking questions in the administration, officials began to evade answers, referring to the loss of the archive for 2008.

"The administration has started writing unsubscriptions <...> the mother's housing certificate has melted, disappeared. <...> Go to court, they said," the woman added.

According to Izvestia correspondent Kirill Olkov, the reception of the head of the administration is closed, and one of those who received the certificate, according to neighbors, recently moved to the city center, does not communicate with anyone and rarely leaves the house.

The day before, the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation announced its intention to check information about possible violations when issuing a housing certificate to families with a migration history in Serdobsk. It was noted that the decision was made in the conditions of long queues for obtaining this right, formed by local residents. Izvestia found out that the head of one of the families received Russian citizenship in 2022.

Later on the same day, it became known that the head of Serdobsk, Marina Ermakova, resigned amid a scandal over housing certificates issued to large families of visitors from abroad. Ermakova clarified that because of this, a massive attack was carried out on her page, which was also attended by those who had nothing to do with the city or the region where it is located.
