Moscow courts have blocked about a hundred illegal tobacco trading sites
At the request of the prosecutor's office, the capital's courts blocked about a hundred resources where tobacco products were illegally sold. This is stated in the case file, which was reviewed by Izvestia on February 13.
It is specified that a wide range of nicotine-containing products was presented at the sites.
"This information resource contains information that contributes to the commission of administrative offenses and negatively affects citizens, including minors," one of the resolutions says.
Another resolution recalled that, according to Russian law, it is prohibited to sell tobacco products on the Internet and advertise such products.
Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the second and third readings adopted a law banning the sale of tobacco products and vapes at stops where public transport arrives. According to the draft, according to the new regulations, the sale of cigarettes, vapes, nicotine consumption devices, as well as hookahs at bus stops of all types of urban and suburban transport is prohibited.
Later, on January 10, Anton Shalaev, head of Rosstandart, announced that at the beginning of this year it is planned to tighten the requirements for packaging and construction of vapes and other electronic nicotine delivery systems in the Russian Federation. Thus, most of the packaging area containing these devices should be covered with images about the negative health effects of smoking.
